Warranty Statement

Lawell / Tradelike products are distributed in Australia by Lawell Lighting Pty Ltd (Lawell)

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this warranty purports to modify or exclude the conditions, warranties and undertakings and other legal rights under the Australian Competition and Consumer Act and other Australian Laws.

Warranty Period

Lawell warrants that each Product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the periods defined below from the date of delivery of the product:

  Warranty conditions

If any product is returned by the Purchaser in accordance with the warranty claims procedure below, within the applicable warranty period, and upon examination Lawell determines to its satisfaction that such Products fail to satisfy this warranty, Lawell will at its option, repair or replace the product or the defective part thereof.

All warranty periods mentioned are subjected to a Lawell representative having access to the failed product for verification of non-compliance

Products that have been altered, damaged or used other than in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions are not covered by this warranty.

This warranty is not transferrable and is only applicable to the party originally purchasing the products directly from Lawell Lighting Pty Ltd.

Lawell’s total liability under this warranty is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the faulty product. For the purpose of clarity, ‘repair or replace the Product or the defective part thereof’ does not include any removal or reinstallation activities, costs or expenses, including without limitation, labour costs, expenses or equipment hire

This warranty does not apply to damage or failure to perform arising as a result of any Acts of God or from any abuse, misuse, abnormal use or use in violation of any applicable standard, code or instructions for use including without limitation those contained in the latest safety, industry and/or electrical standards

This warranty shall be void in the event any repairs or alterations, not duly authorized by Lawell Lighting Pty Ltd in writing, are made to the Product by any person.

Warranty Claims

Warranty claims have to be reported and returned at the customer’s expense to Lawell’s head office within 28 days after discovery, specifying at least the following information

  • Invoice date and Proof of Purchase
  • Details of the failed product
  • Detailed problem description
  • Details of installation environment

Upon review of the claim, and if the Product is required to be returned for technical evaluation, then, at the purchaser’s expense, the product must be returned to Lawell’s Head Office at Unit 6, 2 Cary Grove Minto, NSW 2566.

Lawell will assess the warranty claim and advise the customer of our finding. If the claim is validated, it will result in the product being repaired or replaced with the same or best equivalent product (at Lawell’s discretion).

Lawell will pay for delivery of the repaired/replaced product to the customer’s site.
